DESIGN
The infographic is designed in the form of a factory chimney. With a clock shaped dome below it. The chimney has four parts, each of which is representing a particular type of industrial disaster. These disasters have been explained in brief on the opposite side of the illustration. Along with the disasters and their effects, there is also a fact about that particular type of industrial disaster based on research done on past disasters present right below the text. On top of the chimney, there is the smoke that is released by the chimney. This smoke helps to identify the chimney as a whole. Connected to the bottom of the chimney is its dome which is taking the shape of an alarm clock that represents time, and a shelter that represents the homes of the people living nearby. The clock is divided into two parts- the precautions that can be taken before the disaster, and the safety measures that need to be taken during the time of the disaster. All these are accompanied by logos to simplify the understanding procedure. The two crosses and the red colour of the dome represent health and safety, as well as the windows of the houses of the residents living nearby.
The three instagram posts have been made with a similar colour scheme. The first one is a question made with reference to a disaster which is likely to occur. The reader could already be pondering over this question, or might ponder about it in future, and would attend the workshop wanting to know the answer. The second one is a ‘did you know’ fact. After reading this fact, if the reader wants to explore further, he/she can attend the workshop. Alongside, the dates of the workshop are given and a link to the website is provided below for those who seek further information regarding the workshop.
